This is Hawaiian Volcanic Clay: a naturally occurring blend of allophane, imogolite, halloysite, kaolinite, and bentonite formed over thousands of years as ancient basalt slowly weathers under tropical rain and volcanic heat.

Your Ritual

Combine equal parts Maui Mask and your chosen liquid to form a smooth paste. One teaspoon is all you need for a full facial.

Water — Classic cleanse. Pure and simple.
Honey — Lush golden glow with added humectants.
Yogurt — Moisturizing balance with lactic acid renewal.

Apply with your fingertips or a brush. Leave on for 10–15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Use once or twice weekly.

Our Hawaiian volcanic clay forms over thousands of years on the slopes of Haleakala, as ancient basaltic rock weathers under tropical rain and volcanic heat. The result is a remarkable mineral profile found almost nowhere else on earth.

Unlike bentonite clays mined from alkaline dry lake beds, our clay forms in a well-drained oxidation zone rich with halloysite, allophane, and imogolite — volcanic clay minerals that are exceptionally rare in commercial skincare.

The warm amber and ochre tones you see come from ferrihydritic iron compounds — natural pigments formed as weathered olivine and rutile from the basaltic rock oxidize over millennia.
